Anorexia is an eating disorder where someone has extremely low body weight, and fear of gaining weight. 

They control their weight and shape using extreme efforts that usually interfere with their lives. They also vomit after eating or using meds to "control" the calorie intake. The scariest part is, the person fear weight gain no matter how much weight is lost.

Causes
It could be a mix of biological, psychological, and environmental factors:
  • Irregular Hormone Function 
  • Genetics 
  • Peer Pressure to be Thin or Sexy 
  • Obsessive Compulsive personality

Symptoms and Signs

  • Extreme Weigh Loss
  • Fatigue and Dizziness
  • Irregular Heart Rhythms
  • Low Blood Pressure 
  • Dehydration
  • Excessive Exercise
  • Making Excuse to not Eat
  • Fear of Gaining Weight  
  • Restricting Food Intake, and or Bingeing, vomiting to get rid of food

Treatment

  1. Therapy
    The professionals will help to recognize the issues, teach healthier coping skills, etc

  2. Nutrition
    This is needed to restore the weight and malnutrition case, usually related to healthy meal plan.
