Hepatitis A: Symptoms and Prevention


When the liver is damaged, the function can heavily be affected. Virus is often the main cause of this disease, but there are also many causes of this, such as medications, toxins, alcohol consumption, and medical conditions. There are few types of hepatitis, but today we're going to discuss Hepatitis A.
 

 ● What is Hepatitis A
Hepatitis A is a liver infection by Hepatitis A Virus and highly contagious. This virus can be found in blood and stool of the infected person. 

Transmission could happen from a person to person contact like oral, or anal sex, caring for hepatitis patient, or using drugs together. There's also a risk from contaminated food.

Symptoms
It's usually last than 2 months, and if the symptoms develop, they usually appear 2-7 weeks after infection. Some of the symptoms are:

  • Yellow Skin or Eyes
  • Upset Stomach and Stomach Pain
  • Fever and Throwing Up
  • Diarrhea
  • Dark urine or Light Colored Feces

 ● How to Prevent Hepatitis A

  • 2 Shots of Hepatitis A Vaccine
  • Don't eat undercooked and especially raw meat or fish
  • Practice Good Hygiene, Wash Your Hands Thoroughly
